The Alpha Nu Omega Hall of Fame is the highest and most sacred honor our brotherhood can bestow. It permanently recognizes brothers whose passion, loyalty, and lifelong commitment to Alpha Nu Omega have profoundly shaped and strengthened our fraternity for generations.

Eligibility & Criteria for All Other Inductees

To be elected, a nominee must:
• Demonstrate exemplary, widely recognized passion and commitment to Alpha Nu Omega over many years, AND
• 7+ years of sustained, active service to the Alpha Nu Omega Alumni Association (e.g., board member, officer, committee chair, reunion organizer, mentor to the Active Chapter, etc.)
*Significant financial support to the Alpha Nu Omega Scholarship Fund is appreciated and will be recognized in other appropriate ways, but it is not required for Hall of Fame consideration and cannot substitute for sustained service.
Additional Restriction: No brother currently serving on the Hall of Fame Committee may be nominated or considered for induction while serving on the Committee. This restriction promotes impartiality and avoids any appearance of self-dealing.

Selection Process

  1. Nominations may be submitted at any time by any dues-paying alumni brother in good standing. No recommendation letters are required; however, nominations should be accompanied by supporting documentation that clearly demonstrates the nominee’s qualifications and impact (e.g., service records, dates of involvement, specific contributions, etc.).
  2. Nominations are reviewed by the Hall of Fame Committee, composed of:
    • All living Hall of Famers (willing and able to serve)
    • Up to three (3) additional at-large members of the Alumni Association appointed by the President
  3. Induction requires 75% or greater approval of the Hall of Fame Committee.

Induction Timing & Ceremony

Once a nominee has been approved by the Hall of Fame Committee, the Alumni Association President shall promptly notify the brother of this honor.The newly selected Hall of Famer may then choose the year in which his formal induction ceremony will take place, allowing him to select a gathering that best suits his health, family, and brotherhood connections.  If no specific date is requested, the enshrinement will occur at one of the 5 year reunions.

Recognition

Every Hall of Famer receives:
• Permanent enshrinement on the Active Chapter and Alumni Association websites (photo + biography)
• A personalized congratulatory letter signed by the Active Chapter President and Alumni Association President
• The right to choose one speaker to deliver a tribute at the induction ceremony
• Presentation of a custom plaque at the formal enshrinement banquet
• Listing on the permanent physical Hall of Fame Paddle display at the chapter house
